LOVE

All too often,

we lose that which we love most

by

our failure to see

and

acknowledge

the one we love.

We all too often

simply

accept them,

rather than place them

in

that cocoon of love

that

we wish for ourselves.

We take for granted

that

which we should regard

as a most precious gift,

and

treat it accordingly.

Love

can only be given.

It can never be expected

or

demanded

or

simply requested.

It is a gift to be given,

and

in order

to accept it from another

we must make ourselves

worthy

of

so wonderful

and

precious a gift.

It cannot be lightly given,

nor

can it be lightly received.
